Magical Miscellany: 5.11.14

This week I've become a bit obsessed with locational astrology, and Astro*Carto*Graphy in particular. In short, it's an astrological system created by the late Jim Lewis that overlays a line for each of your planets on a world map. The cities close to each line take on the qualities of that planet. So, for example, along the Jupiter line you'd encounter lucky situations & people and be quite happy, and close by your Venus line you'd find a life of luxury & romance. Of course it would be foolish to just up and move to a place because it looked fortunate on your Astro*Carto*Graphy map, but vacationing there could be a fun experiment.

According to my map, I'd fare especially well in Memphis, home of the blues and eternal resting place of Elvis. It's still close enough to the South for me to feel at home, and there's a Gibson guitar factory there... what more could a girl want? Other top locations were Chicago for happiness, Acapulco & Madeira for holiday, Venice & Rome for a romantic getaway (yes please!), Paris for comfort (which explains a lot), New Orleans for spiritual work, and San Francisco for deep transformation. Sounds like I need to start planning some trips pronto!
